Hey all, I need some help badly. My old Omega was confiscated from the new owner in Texas today because there are 13 numbers in the serial number instead of 12!
I'm in desperate need to know the last name of Forrest who used to own Omega Powerboats.
They were located in Montclair, CA about 2 years ago, but the phone number is no longer good.
If anybody would have any info about how to get in touch with Forrest, or someone from Omega please post up!
Thanks,
Ken F

Ken, who says there should ONLY be 12? My 1980 Eliminator has 13 characters in the HIN. Does the HIN on the hull match the paperwork?

Yes OR, the HIN matches the paperwork.
There is one typo on one digit, but they don't have a problem with that. They are saying because it has 13 digits not 12, that the HIN has been tampered with.
Well, not in the 14 years that I owned it.
Hopefully it will all get straightened out this morning.
Roostwear, thanks for posting up the info! Where did you get it from?

THanks for the help from all who assisted.
All is well now. After speaking to Forrest Pittard who used to own Omega Powerboats, they returned the boat.
All is well....
Thanks again,
Ken F
