I have an 1150 on a 502 and 6-71. It would tend to run rich on one end and lean on the other end of the block. Seems that it may not be mixing the air/fuel mixture enough as it makes it's way to the cylinders, so I have ordered new carbs and will be running a pair of 1050's. Two carbs should disperse the mixture more evenly.....

Hey gmocnik, I was thinking of running a setup like that on a 20'taylor. The boat is heavy and I currently run 63mph. Any ideas on how much speed I would get using a simular setup My 454 is mostly stock.

Generally on a 6.71 or larger blower a pair of properly sized, and calibraited carbs will be more efficent, giving you more torque, and HP.
