Thanks

wich dark color are you referring to ? the green ? or the black arround where it rides inside the wear ring ?
I suppose the green is normal thats the way mine came .
aluminum over time will blacken with oxidation & dirt .

I'm more concerned with the discoloration at the wear ring. Does the color look normal or does it look as if it's been hot.[IMG]

DanC,
The dark color is normal, thats just the anodizing on the aluminum. The lighter color where it meets the wear ring is just where a little anodizing has rubbed off and is pretty standard. Looks to me to be allright for that as long as it isn't gouged up or ground down to change the overall dimensions much, which it doesn't appear to be from what I can see.
Check the blades inside real closely as it looks like its missing some anodizing in there from what I can see. If the jet was cavitated much it can be hard on the alum impellers and they get a wear pattern going on the blades where they eventually can break apart.
It looks just like a little normal wear from sucking some sand from what I can tell.
