So I ordered the Whipple SC for my 500HP..I asked the guy what else I can do while he has my engine apart.. He suggested Dart aluminum heads.. My question.. What will be the additional HP be with the heads.. Will the motor (perform/last) with the heads vs with out. Im pretty sure that im getting a good deal (GTPerformance) but donÂ’t want to make any unnecessary purchases..
Please advise.. I have to put my order in today to get my boat back by the poker run on the 27th and 28th
Thanks in advance

i have the dart pro 1 alum 335cc cnc ported heads on a blown 540. it puts up good dyno numbers. they are not cheap. good heads but it really depends how deep you want to get into this motor and what kind of hp you are looking for.

I know the HP500 is a good engine.. but am I polishing a terd?

No; you are not polishing a turd; it has good internals to start with....buying a new custom motor to get 50 more HP is a much more expensive proposition...

Does the 770 number include the 3.3 ltr version and the heads?

Does the 770 number include the 3.3 ltr version and the heads? yea.. the said I would get 720hp w the s/c and an additional 50hp with the heads.. and also the weight reduction..

Sounds like it is going to be a sick setup...another Stoker that will put many boats to rest...Good luck with it..
