The procharger is very easy to install. Once you have it dialed in there is really no major mant. It has been very reliable with significant power and speed gains for me. I am sure the whipple is a very good unit also. I just have experience with the procharger. i run 5lbs on a bbc. i have run 7lbs, but i feel safer only running the 5lbs. good luck with whatever you choose

Pro Charger most likely can run more boost safer due to the larger intercooler = more HP. The Wipple most likely has a little faster boost rate = quicker acceleration.

Riverliver,
I have the same boat and would like to hear more about your mods. Tyler Crockett wants to set me up with the new Blower Shop 250 with 750's, no intercooler, upgraded fuel system and full MSD ignition. He is saying 675hp at 4-5lbs of boost. I am very reluctant to run with no cooler.
Do you have a shorty imco unit?
Great looking boat!

Why would you run a boat without an intercooler? You have the largest heat sink (the river) to work with!
Eric.

This out drive has the same S.C. gears as the new one, the only change is in the tower cooling system in the new one.
