San Gabriel River Boaters

Ok the other day I was driving home and from the 405 I saw a guy in a tourny boat pulling a wake board in the san gabriel river. Other than it is pretty gross getting in that water I thought it was pretty cool.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has done some local river boating?

We used to ski there when I was in High school. Have to be careful of the tides. The mouth can get shallow in the impact zone. Also the water is very warm from the power plant dicharge water. La County lifeguards used to hassle a bit. You know it is time to turn around when the river bed is about to become concrete. Would not recommend it to anyone. Watch out for the shopping carts.

Oh man you remember the duck farm off the 605 and 10 fwy? The smell of duck poop has got to be the worst smelling sh*t in the world. I cant tell you how many times I've almost puked while getting stuck in traffic there. I am VERY happy it's gone.

I remember the duck farm as well. That place was nasty!
