I'm going to take a look at this tomorrow. Might be a fun little toy.

Looks like one of those kit cars. If it's done right, you can drive that thing on the street. Definately a looker!

Not enough "zeros" to be a Porsche....
VW maybe...

From what I've found out so far, this is a VW based kit. It should be completely street legal.

Thought so.....not a bad "toy" if it's got a hot motor.
Take it for a spin..!! If it's got plates, it should be legal.

That is probably going to be the deciding factor. If its just the 60hp 1300cc motor, it probably isn't going to come home. I'm not up in my old school VW stuff, but I think the big motor was 1800 or even 2100. Some people have stuffed small blocks in these, but this is listed as a 4 banger.

I dunno. I think you will get tired of playing sportscar pretty quick. Its a VW bug underneath. It won't have the "huevos" of a real car.... Its gonna be small, have bad visibility, be cramped and loud. No AC, and will probably only really impress 10 year olds who don't know any better.
I don't mean to knock it, so please don't think I am picking on you, but I think for the money you could buy something more fun. Like a little convertible sportscar, a jeep Wrangler or a Manx style dunebuggy.

Looks like more fun than it probably is. Not very practical for much of anything - too slow for the track - handling probably just OK - brakes probably just OK. And probably way too hot inside it in any warm climates (can't imagine it has A/C). Looks like fun but unless it fits a need I wouldn't even go look at it but that's just me and my negative two cents.

Oh, Dan. You are just too sensible... :D

Point well taken. I'm a little leary of the VW package myself. They didn't have the best braking system and forget about power steering.

I would remove the Porsche sticker and replace it with Bayliner :D

If it's a VW Kit (which it most likely is), its not worth more that $1,250 to $1,500, at best.

My wife went to look at it. She said she wouldn't give $500 for it. It was in pretty rough shape. Hey, it looked like fun, so looking at it was fun. ;)
