Anyone ever motel it in Searchlight and drive to Cottonwood?
If so, where is a good place to stay? Rates? Any other scoop?

I have never stayed in Searchlight but the drive is not to far from the marina. I know the hotel in Cottonwood is very popular and is usually full on most weekend during the warmer months.
Good luck
Michael :)

There's actually 2 or 3 motels in Searchlight, none of them are very nice but they are cheap and not a bad drive to Cottonwood. One of them is the El Rey. Also it helps to just rent a slip each day ($9/day) and leave your boat in the water if you intend to make that drive. If the Cottonwood motel is sold out they have tons of camping in the campgrounds too; showers, bathrooms, and real close to the launch ramp, restaurant, store, etc.
