head gaskets on gen 6

What is the differance between the gen5 and gen 6 blocks?i bought head gaskets for the gen 5 and it looks like a mark 4 gasket.will this work as it looks like it blocks off the water jacket holes on one side of the block and the top hole on the block are alot bigger than the holes in the gasket(pin holes)need input asap as im putting it together today and need to get the right gaskets if theses wont work.........thnx Tim

I have a felpro marine gasket part #17042
it says to use on a gen 5 but im concerned about the holes blocked off.Is there a fel pro site i can refer to?Also my block is a gen 6.

The gaskets are stamped different than the cardboard sheet they come on. If you have the sheet and it says 1047 part number it's right. I also have a Gen VI and just did head gaskets. I don't recall what number was stamped on the actual gasket though.
