The memory of most of my trips have turned into one giant trip with the exception of the few that stand out for specific reasons. Usually bad reasons at that. But what was that one time that you remember as being the best time on the water?
For me I've had a lot but the one time that sticks in my mind was late on a Sunday at Parker. I was stayin till Monday which was unusual for me and I didn't have to stress about leavin. We were rafted up and floating late in the afternoon. You know the time. The heat of the day has passed and your thinkin about a nap.
Four boats. 3 Old school jet boats and a run-about. Nobody had a stereo with more than a couple of Pioneer 6x9's so the tunes were off. Traffic was way down being Sunday eve so the raft wasn't a constant job to keep together.
Floatin past the Road Runner with a cover band playin "Rebel Yell" and the smell of Coconut Oil in the air. A body baggin rays on a deck and a couple more on a hatch. Loungeing in the back of a boat playin footsie with a girl that I'd have to think real hard to remember her name and milkin an ice cold beer.
