Looking for a Gen V 454 BBC block, 4-bolt, etc.
Anyone happen to have an extra one laying around or know of someone who does?

Ya, long, terrible, story... thanks for the lead. They only had a 2-bolt main on hand...
Any thoughts on this eBay special?

Guessing his reserve must be somewhere near his buy it now price and I think that is a bit pricey if you only need the block. No idea what you could sell the crank and heads for to recoup some dough probably not much though. Are Gen V blocks getting that hard to find? I have a complete 454 longblock but is a Mark IV and not sure if has 2 or 4 bolt mains- never looked.

I just emailed a friend of mine that did have some brand new. I will let you know as soon as I here from him. I think they were going for $450-$500 with the main caps. It may be monday or tuesday until I him from due to the holiday. thanks Tim :)

Try racingjunk.com there usually are several gen 5 gen6 blocks and other good stuff on there!! Good luck:D

I found out my buddy has gen vi 454 brand new but no gen v's sorry. He want's $700.00 ea for the gen vi 454 if your still interested let me know and I will get you a phone # thanks Tim

Thanks for checking. I ended up finding a Gen V...it's at the machine shop now.
