Small box anchor, Best anchor ever invented! The small one held our 28' warlock and a 26 eliminator in a current, never budged all day!

Make sure to open it before throwing it overboard. We were at the Parker Sandbar on Friday and it was windy as hell so I had my buddy toss the anchor as I held the boat in place. He chucks it, and I ask,"Did you open it up?" He says, "What the f u c k do you mean open it up?" Funny as hell. Anyway the Sand bar in parker isn't really sandy, lots of rocks and hard ground. I tried to set it about 3 times and it barely grabbed. My buddy tied his Stoker up to me and I took off to look at boobies. When I came back 2 other boats had tied off behind my buddy both large daycruisers. Anyway like I said it was pretty windy but that anchor never budged with 4 boats tied up. :)

I agree if you are anchoring your boat generally speaking the small box anchor would do the trick. The problem is when others want to raft up with you it sure is nice to have the larger one. I say go with the overkill. Folded, they aren't much bigger to store, and it's nice to have the extra holding power when needed.

These anchors hold up in a pretty strong current and you will have no problem with boats tying up to you either.

Make sure you use a good quality rope though. :D
