Update on Dan in Hospital

Dan is feeling okay. His leg has already shrunk several inches just by being in bed for 36 hours. The big concern is getting rid of the infection. They are dosing him BIG time with I.V. antibiotics and he is still running fever of 101 deg. A specialist came to see him today and when infection clears she is going to get him a new and improved stocking to wear on his leg once they get the size down close to normal size. Hope she can help us because last vascular doctor did not help Dan much and his stocking was not the correct size, etc. He says "Hello" to everybody. I will keep you up to date. Please let Dan know that we would all love to see you and Dan there, but given whats going on and with the abbreviated trip you have planned, don't try to over do it. There is always Havre and Raystown. I know he really wants to be there, but his health should come first. We wish him well.

I spoke with Dan tonight and he is in good spirits.He hopes to get out of the hospital on Sat or Sun.
The infection in this leg seems to be under control with medication.Give him a call ...

Thanks JetMech, Fat Rat, Shirkey, and anyone else who gave Dan a call! He really was surprised to hear from all of you. He didn't know I posted his phone number at the hospital. He was SUPER happy that you called him and you brightened up his day! Thanks Again!
