Hey Guys(and Gals),
My wife and I just registered for the Classicboatbeachbash in August. And all we really have is the boat, no supplies. We reserved a room, so the place to sleep is handled.
But, we wanted to pry your minds a little, and ask you what you take when going to the lake for several days. What will I need in the boat to make it legal?? What are things I wouldnt think of, that makes life better?? The boat, truck, wife, kid, and a desire to have a killer time is all I've got right now. I dont even have an anchor... Thanks for you time---A J
P.S. I'm really happy ^

Holy shit, where to begin?
The first two suggestions are a MUST.
You can check out the internet for Coast Guard requirements.
Also, Phebus started a thread about "safety gear" in the sandbar section a few days ago, search for it. Lot's of good ideas on there too. WIth all that's listed in that thread you should be pretty well covered. Oh yeah, bring shade. If ya got the dough for a new one contact THATJEFFGUY on the boards.
Good luck hunting, the shit add$ up fast

Here's Phebus' thread (http://www.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48423&highlight=safety+gear) . Lots of good ideas in there, maybe not all of it necessary for the CBBB. I'm sure there are lots of guys there that can help you out with shit if stuff breaks. In other words you probably don't have to go out and buy a timing light and such.

Everyone at the CBBB was really cool last year.
Asise from the stuff mentioned in Pheobus's thread, most of the people there are motorheads of some kind, so you will probably have access to all the help, opinions and tools you will ever need should you have a mechanical problem.
As for other stuff, you'll need a canopy of some kind, EZ-up works good for me. Sand chairs, a cooler for beer:D , lines, bumpers and an anchor for the boat. The lagoon at the Avi got pretty crowded on the beach and some boats ended up being anchored out a ways.
Be prepared for a goooooood weekend.

Is this CBBB at Mead? How did you register.... I gotta get some Lake/River action going here, cuz it has been a tough year at work. All work and no play..... you know?

The CBBB is on the Colorado river at the Avi casino just south of Laughlin, NV.
Check out www.classicboatbeachbash.com
It's a good time and worth to to from Nor Cal for some quality time on the River.

Even though I am from and live in Norcal, I am working in So Cal on a project. Probably will be for another year or more. I have my boat down here in storage so I can work on it on the weekends.
I have registered, thanks for the link!!!!
