I stopped off and the store for some booze and grub and decided to check my trialer lights before getting on the road and find nothing but one brake light. After searching for a bad conection or pulled wires I finally find one of the HUNDREDS of fuses in our new Excursion is blow so I change it and pooof it blows so now im searching for a short. I pull all the lights out of the trialer and finally find a melted wire on one of the rear lights and get it all fixed but now I need fuses so off to the auto parts store for an easy purchase wrong they all are closed. So after 45 minutes of driving around looking for a 24 hour auto parts store I get my fuses but decided that anything that fights me that much means something bad is in store for me if I go. Bottom line is IM NOT MAKING OP6:mad:
I cant tell you how much this SUCKS:frown:

There is that side of the coin, but then you have the other...
"I let something like a little fuse F up my weekend".

You get that sharp pain in your gut, and you just know that something bad is going to happen. I felt almost sick to my stomach before taking the boat out right before my outdrive took a s h i t . Shure enough! It broke! You hate to cancel a trip over a tail light, but who knows, right? Sure, you probably would have had a great time but, sometimes you have to rely on your sixth sense.
On the other hand, I can't believe you let a tail light problem deter you from going to Havasu!:p

You guys are right why should I let a fuse eff up my weekend? Well I had a complete fuse and relay kit but after searching everywhere I think I left it in the other Excursion we just sold. You have to understand that everything I own is TURN KEY and if anything so much as hickups it goes in the shop. I had just taken the boat to my mech on Wed and had him do a tune up, install a new water seperator and completly go through the carb becuase I though I had water in my fuel, and replace all the wheel bearing and seals before I went to OP6. All this was done so I would not have a problem getting there or have a problem with the boat so you see something was telling me DONT GO.

The time I didn't follow that gut pain, turned out to be our worst trip ever....kicked myself in the ass for quite a while for going and not taking those signs as an omen...

kenny Nice! Just keep you're eye on the prize. I see where you're coming from. Something negative is always going to happen to some degree, and granted, it's not ALWAYS major. Just keep a positive attitude.

The best advice you can follow at times is the voice in the back of your head that you try to ignore. . . .

That's great advice Lightening. Kind of like the one nighters we have all had, where you dip your junk in peroxide the next day...all day, and hope you don't grow a tree down there... :D ;)

Good advice, do not tempt the anti river demons, you will either end up in jail, loosing your boat, hurting someone or all of the above. Atleast you can stay home and watch the Lakers beat the crap out of the Pistons

Sometimes you just have to listen to the voices. I'm going to start doing it more often. Memorial weekend my bro and I got a bunch of signs but we ignored them and then we had to get a $300 tow and stuck with no foward or reverse. A bunch of things happened the weekend before and we lost all control of our trim pump. Now I know i'm not wierd for hearing voices in my head.

Paranoia pays :D
theres always that one question thats never answered " What if ? " you probably did the right thing always listen to your inner voice 9 times out of 10 it knows more than the conscious mind.
sorry you missed the trip theres always the next time .

You know what sucks even worse is that I know im holding the winning tickets for the raffles:( Yup im a fan of listening to my inner voice when shiat like this happens and I would like to believe it allways pays off. I have never been that guy that says awww fuuck it and just runs it or that crazy ass party guy that is having more fun than everyone else, im allways afraid that I will blow it or get into trouble and loose everything I have worked so hard for.
You just never know the trouble could allways be here insted of there or there not here, I live each day like it is the last and dont take life so serious becuase its only temperary but there is always room for caution;)

Lights?
I didn't even know my trailer had lights. What are those for? I will have to check. LIGHTS? Come on.
missing a wheel? Now that's bad. Course with a tandem trailer all you need is a peice of chain to fix that problem.
