Here's a few shots of the 1972 21ft Campbell Billy B and the crew just finished for us(picked it up Thursday). In our pre-paint discussions we all agreed that the boat needed to look 2004, but not over the top. It was very important to us and Billy, that the paint should also reflect the Reverance, Nostalgia and Tradition that is a Campbell. Our only other requests were the choice of colors, Poppy Red(AJ Foyt Orange), Black, Silver and Blue. I think Billy nailed it! Thanks for the great job!

Here's how the install looks so far. Next stop is out to Denny Nish's in Vegas, for all the interior. Planning on side to side, full engine cover, a bench seat in front of that, with a molded observers seat fit to the dash and a stand alone drivers's seat. Motor is a 10 1/2 to 1, 30over 427 with square port heads and a better than average hydraulic camshaft. Of course, she'll be gett'in a Biminey with a custom skylon stick'in through it, so we can show all those Air Nautique/Master Craft/Ski Sanger/Blah/ Blah/Blah boys, what a real Ski/Wakeboard boat should look like!
We'll have her in Parker by July!

That is really nice. How did you get Billy to restrain himself? This may have been my very first boat, I bought one, third hand back in the early 70's. Who knows how many times its changed hands since then. But the last thing I could have named my Campbell was "Smooth"...

I know Mr. B can do so wild, crazy, beautiful stuff, but, you gotta admit the paint matches the name. I think this look puts the "ooo" in "Smoooth"! It's also the nickname we hung on my partner, he's one of those guys that can make the hardest things in life go easy!

We put it there for a different look. With a full engine cover, it'll never see the sun. Should look nice when the cover is up though!

very, very nice! I'm happy you chose to maintain the tradition that is Campbell!
I've had 4 campbell's. My first was a 71 20'6" that my dad bought back in 71 and I got after he passed awayn in 1989.
You'll enjoy it - it is not a smooth ride, but if you add an electric motor to the cavitation plates it makes the ride 1000 times better!
Enjoy it and we'll look for you in September at the Regatta!

The boat looks great.
General question! How do you run the logs straight out without snails. I thought that's what helped to water out of the engine.
Also, when you get the skylon installed please post some pics.
Thanks
Gary

Great question. We have installed the new Rex Marine exhaust tips with the stainless flapper installed. I think between the angle and height of the exhausts with the internal flapper we'll be all right. I have a set of snails if needed. Sure looks good without those ugly things.
Will do on the pictures of the skylon install. I'll throw a few up of the interior when we get it back from Nish as well.
