Oil Pressure Sending Unit ????????

I have a set of Gaffrig II Gauges. I can not find a oil pressure gauge. They have this ohm setting on them, but at a local parts store they just ask if it is a light or gauge. I tried one last night and I thought it was ok. I fired the motor and it reads 80 psi at idle. My mech. gauge reads 50.
Anybody ever have this problem?

Sender's ohm resistance must match that of the gauge to read properly. Call Livorsi and get the correct sender and your problem will go away.

alot of the automotive senders will be marked on the wire end as to what pressure guage it matches . 60 for a 60lb guage 80 for an 80lb ect.
