With all this great knowledge floating around out there :D I would like some feedback on what you guys might run with ??? Thinking real hard on a set of AFR 345 Aluminium heads ,Race set-up ,from AFR & Ferria @ $1995.00 a pair....is this a proven combo 2.30 x 1.88 ??? :confused:

Thought I read a time back you had motor issues or something ??Motor is fine. I need the jet to get redone this January/February. I need a new impeller and everything. I really messed mine up. I am going to pull my motor in the next couple weeks and pull it apart to see what I have. If I am running decent pistons, rods and have nice 4 bolt mains, I might rebuild it as a blower motor....

He ain't crappin ya there Justin, It is a major HP helper...I'm running a Weiand 8/71 @ 12% under = 5-6 # Boost WFO on 8:75 - 1 Forged pistons, stock rods reworked ,balanced,etc...w/ARP Pro ser.Bolts ..go for the bigger blower if possible it won't beat and heat up the charge air as bad as a little one...I pretty set mine up and have been running good ( knock on wood ) for 2 seasons now just do not get greedy with the boost and you will be fine ,,check plugs often and run plenty fuel..hit BDS and other websites they will pretty much tell you the basics you need...once you get all the parts it is virtually maint.free..ck oil levels ,belt tension and brgs .once a year...you wont go back ..especially when that damn thing opens up and starts screamin'at ya :D while your pinned to the seat...

I ran into Info at LakeWhitney,he is a first class dude , he can vouch for my set up,for a little 454 it is pretty stout with the help of the 8/71.. call around and tell the Blower shops what you got and they will help you..or hookup w/Info..the cost from a 6 to 8 is only a couple hundred bucks but well worth it as the bigger blower is just along for the ride till you mash the gas,then its like ,,,,lookout mofo's wink here I come
A friend of mine is running a 10 on his 509 but he has an offset intake manifold to move the blower forward to clear the distribitor,,I had to trim the base of my dist.to clear pop-off plate on the Weiand 8/71 just a c-hair..

One with his son, a hole shot and then an ease into full speed. I don't know what it is about those videos but they really give you the sensation of speed. I found myself mashing my right foot down when I was watching, completely subconsciously.
