Anyone looking for a project motorhome. I started to redo this whole motorhome last year when I had nothing but time as my boat was still being built. The boat got finished and nothing has been done to the motorhome since. This is a project that needs completing but all the major stuff is already done.
-1971 GMC Vandura Class C Coach (did you read that-NO SMOG)
-350 mtr/350 trns with orig. 56,XXX miles.
-21 ftr (I think)
Runs great for never doing anything to the motor, I have taken it back and forth to the river with no problems cruising around 65.
I had it stored at the river for a few years and decided to bring it home to put a larger fridge in, and then noticed some water damage. Well one thing led to another with taking out a cabinet here and taking out a cabinet there, then some carpet and next thing I know I have replaced every single piece/sheet of wood in the whole thing. It has a completely new floor, all new walls, all new fiberglass siding, and whole new roof. The body of the van is in great condition but is in need of paint and the shell of the motorhome is completely fiberglass that some needs paint and minor fiberglass patches (very minor like an hours worth of work). The inside is empty except for the New Fridge (4.5'x2') and New microwave that is already framed in. And also the fiberglass shower is completely framed in. It needs paneling on the inside (already completely insulated) as I have not done that. You can just through in a few futons and call it good, And maybe an A/C unit. I have the electrical converter that is fairly new but have not ran any wiring or any plumbing. This is a project that does need to be finished but could be complete in a few weeks if someone had the ambition.
Just looking to get this thing out of the driveway and get a few bucks to finish my backyard that never seems to get done. Would like to get about $700 back out of the $2000 that I have put in this in the last year.
