Essex Regatta - Whos Going?

I think it starts Friday, June 25th. We were thinking of attending, but are 2nd owners and haven't been before. A couple of months ago I emailed EssexBoats but did not receive a reply. I would definately like to meet some peeps out there!

We will be attending. It should be a very good time. We have only owned our boat since September, but have already met a ton of nice people on the lake. Essex owners appear to be very loyal and always fun.

I've heard that officially it does not. Amy told one of our boater friends that Laser will have a second Regatta strictly for them in the future. Contact Essex for confirmation.

We'll be there. Rolling in either Wednesday night or Thursday morning. As of last Friday they expecting in excess of 200 boats for the regatta based on the pre-registration. Call Essex and speak with Amy to let them know you plan on atending. 909-983-4566 ext. 73. E-502 is right about the Laser regatta, they will be having one at a later date from what I have been told by the powers that be.

A little History on Essex, Cobra, and Ultimate Warlock...Ron, Jeff, and Carter all worked at ULTRA...They are the Stepchildren...NOT ULTRA (A loyal 2nd gen Ultra owner) I Know, Ron designed the color scheme on my first Ultra, Jeff Supplied all Rigging parts and Carter rigged the Boat....I Loved that boat for 11 years:( ;) :D I just bought My new Ultra 2nd boat

I was at Essex's last week to p/u my boat from service and spoke to couple of Laser peep's. They are looking for other Laser peep's to crash the Essex Regatta. Has anybody heard anything about this crash ????

If you pull up to the pile in a Laser we will be happy to welcome you. You just won't "officially" be there. It's cool with me if Lasers are included.

What time does the Marina launch ramp start getting busy and what is the best time to be off the lake by on a Saturday. Like I mentioned before, my wife is pregnant and if we boat at all on Saturday, I want it to be as stress-free as possible.
Is there such a thing "slow" on a Saturday?

My boyfriend and I have found it is pretty stress free if you are on the water before 10:00 and retrieve before 3:00. Try that. Or earlier! :-)

We'll be on the water by 8 am on Saturday to beat any of the crowd. Drivers meeting will probably happen about 9 am anyway.

We Essex owners welcome the Lasers but when you have the Laser Regatta would ya'll welcome us? Seriously - it's the same family just different branch. I think the real deal is that there is limited room in the Aquatic Center for the dinner. It is always packed with the folks from the 200 or so Essex boats that come to the Regatta. If you add the Lasers then geez...is there another building in all of LHC (other than a vacant wherehouse) that could handle all the people?
