Sand Dawg,
What kind of boat do you have? I would think that lake could get a little rough for my boat. If you would like to try Moses, we'll be out there in July.

I can see Roosevelt from my house so Moses is out of the way. 21.5 ft Mariah here, is not that rough at times.

Well, I'm from the western side so they're all out of my way. :D

I thought I'd revive this for 2006. We have a camp spot reserved at River Rue Campground by Keller Ferry on Roosevelt July 1 - July 4.
Anyone interested? :)
Just look at this open lake & no boat taffic.

After going every 4th, almost every Labor Day and a few Memorial weekends. Its only been rough 2 times out of 9 times and those 2 times when it was choppy was just for a day. We usually spent 3 days down by the lake.

Our group heads up after the 4th of July every year for 5-8 days. We stay on the Spokane arm for warmer water. Usually make runs to see other areas couple times a week. Water usually flat. Columbia water too cold for all day swimming for me.

Where do you launch at? What is the campground you stay at or do you dry/beach camp? Warmer water would be nice.

Fort Spokane is the Largest and it's near the Bridge and Casino. The Casino has a nice marina and good camp sites.
However we like to dry camp at Porkypine bay. Only 32 sites, no hook-ups and hard to get in because the Spokane people throw up tents to reserve sites for weekend.

Boat there usually July through Sept. Great lake. Enjoy all the sandy beaches. Launch at 7 bays. Nice ramp. Usually just day boat as I have little kids.

Nice and very, very clean. Just pulled my boat out of the shop from putting a stereo in it. Brayden stole my factory amp that I took out for tunes in his boat. His was junk! Now I need to put a big battery system in.
