Can anyone tell me anything about the Nordic jets of the seventies? Does anyone have a pic of a similar year Nordic? I have had mine for 2 yrs and have never seen another. What kind of performance can you get from this hull. Anything anybody could tell me would be appreciated. This is my first boat and has really been a learning experience. Thanks.

Check this out.
Scroll down and on the bottom right, check out the short film entitled Go Wild. It features a Nordic Buble deck jet.

It's really hokey, but funny none the less.

mine is a 19ft mini daycruiser. and yes it's a whacka, an evinRUDE 235. and i would love to sell it to one of ya's:D it's in good shape. it does have a few nics and bruises on it. it has a new interior and floor (at least as of a couple of years ago). there has been very little on water time with this interior. if interested i can take some pics and email them to you.

I've got a 73 18ft with a Berk 12JC/A. Its got a mild SBC in it and the last time out I did 52mph @4100rpm. It will run close to 4500rpm but my secondaries weren't opening up all the way.
This boat is a tank! At some time during the boats life,a big hole was put in the deck. Whoever did the repairs wanted to make sure that nothing would go thru the deck again. The underside of the deck is 5/8 ply held up by 3/4 ply connected to the stringers.
I weigh 265lbs and can jump up and down on it and it won't flex.
Here's a pic if it works.

Jethro,
Sounds like you need a BBC or a BBF to get that thing moving.
My dad has a copy of a 72 Tahiti Tiger with a Volvo and a 351c and it runs 56+mph so you are not loosing too much with the jet. Sounds like it runs very good. BTW he does not have power trim. I will keep my eye open for freebee BBC for you if you want. His boat is almost the same idenical boat as this one. Ecept Chrome Yellow and Brandy Wine side stripe.
