Anybody else think this gel looks clean?
Did Ultra stop making the 247?

That is sick gel...and no Ultra did not stop making the 247. I know Thor just picked his 247 up - beautiful boat:D
But, I do think they are selling a ton more 24 Stealths than the 247s..but I could be wrong. If I recall, this was kinda suppose to fill the 24 foot void in his Stealth line...and eventually own the spot and quit building the 247--but I think John's to smart to stop making a great product that is in demand. If people want them- I imagine he will continue to build them.

I think it's awesome looking! I saw a ............ either a Magic or a Conquest deck boat with tribal flames in similar colors and looked VERY good!

Roln is right.
The 24' Stealth is very large for a 24'er. Unlike mine, it is a true 24'. My 247 incorporates that swimstep. But, my boat is also significantly lighter and has a double step hull (much more aggressive). I have a 96" beam and the Stealth has a full 102" beam.

The ultimate compliment.
I think it is fantastic looking. In 10+ years time, people are going to look at that and say, "Wow! That's nice clean looking gel." :)

That gel is very clean, I remember looking at that boat over at roln 20s house while we were trying to figure out some graphics for his soon-to-be 25 howard bullet. I personally don't like the flashy, deeply colored designs on west coast boats---that ultra is a nice compromise between the new styles but done without looking like i just threw up all over the side after eating red and pink candy

You would think that white and silver or black would be boring, but so did I. I was a "Black is beautiful" guy until I bought my pickup, a GMC Sierra in Arctic white. Then I bought my big truck, which was white with polished aluminum and stainless trim. The effect of a simple white paint job offset by chrome, polished SS or tinted windows is nice. I'm a fan of the "clean" look, not the "busy" look. That boat would look quite nice in person I'm sure. I saw a boat with neon orange base coat and purple and neon green flames. My fiance asked why someone would want those colors and I told her it's so when they puked over the side nobody would notice! I can't figure out why people want gelcoat that looks like the carpet in a casino!!!!

You'd be suprised at what passes for taste.
Different strokes I guess.;)
I too like the white/chrome/tint package. I currently have a black Chevy P/U that looks sweet when clean. But my next will be white.;)

That boat belongs to one of my boys. It looks good in the picture and better in person. It's at the Pomona Boat show if any of you need to see how color blind people see the world.

Then why are you putting him down. Its his boat bro. You may not like it, but keep that to yourself. I have seen it and thought it was very nice and clean. Pretty timeless and different then most are doing today.
between you, kiltroy, and laser you stated your opinions at least 11 times in one thread.

I was not putting him down!!!!!!!!!
I was saying IMO it needs some color. If I was in the market and saw it I wouldn't buy it! That's all! To each his own, like you said it is HIS boat, if he likes it....... GREAT! But I was not PUTTING HIM DOWN...

Speaking of the 24 Stealth. Check out what the fine Ultra Boys did for me on my gel. This too is much more beautiful in person. They made it match my truck too.

Nice boat's Voodoomedman and Bank Boy. I saw Bank Boy's boat at the Pomona boat show. Look's even better in person. How do you guys like your 24 Stealth? I almost waited and bought one instead of buying my 247 last summer.

Voodoo, that is a hot rig. Love that the truck matches up.
Jb, I love the Stealth. The extra width in the bean gives me a lot of family room and the cockpit pushed forward gives even more. It was big debate between the 247 and the 24 Stealth. Like the swim step on the 247 better.

We were at the fuel dock in Mission Bay in San Diego putting gas in the boat and the guy's that do the gel for Ultra walked up.
They were very cool guys, I can't remember their names but they were hispanic. Hands down they get my vote for having the best gel coats out there.
They were checking out our boat maybe trying to get some ideas for a new Ultra offshore boat.:D

One of them may have been Martin?
He does some awesome work,I don't think I've ever seen any Ultra that wasn't nice gel work.May not care for one or the other for my taste, but they are all top notch. They can sure match every individual taste no matter what it is.

It is bad a$$. Got a 496 Mag and Mike water tested it at 45. Of course loaded with peeps and ice chest and beer and gear brings it down about 70 but it gets to that speed fast. It hops on plane faster than you can blink and the handling is top notch. Read what bank boy said about the interior. I've got the open bow, the cockpit, rear facing, rear bench and one down below. The other side down below they built in an ice chest for me.
