Ultra, Aftershock, Commander, Lightning, Genesis, Domin8er, Dana, are some other names that are likely to be less expensive.
Get the ***boat magazine and look through a few of them.

ShockWave or Velocity, both are great boats in IMHO. a Velocity is a very deep boat also.

Well at first i was a bit offended...
As does anyone whos work is catagorized in any way shape or form. If you dont, then that tells what you think about your own work.
But now that I think about it....:o
Being in a list like that, its hard to believe how far we've come in the time we've been Genesis.
Its hard to beleive that Genesis bought its first mold little less than five years ago.
I was 1 month out of highschool and Joel and I just finished spraying for Steve and Ron at Essex, We spent five hours waxing that little 21 V-drive.
This was when joel was still spraying for DCB, Cobra, SD Ultra. In fact we waxed that mold in Essex's spraying area, they were really generous letting use the space for the mold.
That little V-drive never touched the water.
Now Look at us, What a strang Trip its been.
From then to now, and in my head!:D
So thank You Mandelon!:)

Take a hard look at the Shockwave Tremor25. Its hard to find a fault. Great layup, rigging, handling, performance, turning, top speed, layout, etc. And its one of the few full sized 25's in its size class. 100 inch beam, 24 degree v bottom, full 25 foot length without the swimstep. I've put 125 hard hours on ours so far and no issues whatsoever. PM me if you want some more input

IF I were shopping for 25-26' of new boat, I'd look only three places....
1) Laveycraft 24' or 26' (depending on how big I'd really want to go).
2) 25' Howard Bullet
3) 25' Shockwave
If I were leaning to the smaller side of 25' (closer to 23-24'), the Ultra 247 would be on my list as well, for it's great lines.
The Howard would probably be the spendiest, but it's a beautiful boat!!! I'd be proud to own any of those boats though.

Couldn't agree more. Laveycraft 26 or Shockwave 25 for bigger lake and ocean duty. Bullet or Lavey 24 for lake only duty. RTJ and I really did a lot of research in this size class about a year ago and we pretty much came to similar conclusions

I used to own a Commander and now have the Shockwave Tremor. I love the boat and it definitely gives you a feeling of confidence when the lake gets rough. I plan to move up in a year or so to the 29 or 34 at SHockwave. Couldn't be happier :)

Not long ago, maybe 10 years or so... ;)
Ok maybe about a year. :D
Seriously though, with Cheetah you get a lot of boat for the money, and there's nothing wrong with them, very solid all the way through (especially in recent years). I wouldn't compare one to a DCB or Howard, but IMO they're every bit as nice or nicer than some of the other lower end builders.

Now it appears to have a whole lot more balls behind the loud pedal. Wonder how it runs with 1280 hp on tap??? :eek!: :D

My guess would be right about 90-95. I'd be interested to know the real numbers though. I guess they don't even know though, as the engines have zero hours! ;)

I'm very curious because if I ever replace the cat it would be for a 29 Cheetah with 1100hp of small blocks in back. Be nice to know how it would run before committing all that time and moola.

I wouldn't consider it the ghetto. I wonder what Jordy thinks? He is the one that "labels" east vs west! I guess you are just north--thats gotta be good :D
Whats 100K between a new boat owner and boat company? Trust me- I ask myself this everyday...and my answer--its 100K and thats alot of moola- even for a west sider!

Ya think? It doesn't suck being almost exactly between Bartlett and (un)Pleasant lakes. What will it be today, sandy beaches and good scenery, or rocks, big waves, and good scenery (the mostly naked kind)?!?!

Same reason that Bob will order any special hardware that you want for your new boat and sell it to you at his cost (nice discount off retail). He's not out to make a killing off each boat, just a fair profit. Also, he runs a pretty informal operation, no big advertising, no fancy showroom.
