Thinking of getting one, then investing in 1000 trails membership. Do any of you have a travel trailor and/or membership with 1000 trials, if so, do you use the trailor a lot and do you like the sites included with 1000 trails?
I know,,,so many ?'s so little time.

Question: Is this going to be an activity you do seperate from boating???
I'm just asking cuz you can't tow a boat and a travel trailer at the same time:D

Yes. we are thinking of selling the boat and doing camping. we have a small boat that does not accomodate our large family, and we love all season camping. So unfortunately, the mr would be replacing the boat with the trailor

I used to pull it with a 1500 chevy 5.3 (no prob)
its hooked to a 2500HD Duramax in that pic
unloaded trailer weight is 3800#(including appliances but not gear), I figure 4500 tops but I have not had it weighed...

I don't know what the current laws are where you're at, but we can take both ( 26 ft 5th wheel and 15 ft jet boat ) . The boat hooks up behind the fifth wheel trailer. Works well for quad/bike trailers too. Even seen people hauling light bumper pull trailers behind for the kids!

5th Wheels can tow one other trailer (here in Ca). I'm not sure what the cap is on over-all length though. People can also ride in a 5th wheel, as long as there is open communitcation with the driver.
Travel Trailers that are ball-hitch connected, can't tow another vehicle or have passengers while in motion.

jason is right on both of those....
it used to be that you needed a class A (big-rig) license to pull doubles. not sure current law or not...
