Lowes has a Char Broil Pro series "full" stainless steel grill (no pot metal anywhere) for 399.00. Lifetime burners. Can't beat that for the price. I had to have it.

Bought my 4 burner, powder coat, cast iron burner grill at Barbaques
Galore. It's the best barbaque Iv'e ever owned. It cost some bucks.
If I remember right, after I bought all the goodies it was about 500 bucks.

Just a note to get things into perspective.
I OWN SEVERAL HUNDRES BBQ'S already, but the last time I bought a cordless drill was a 7 volt Makita 35 years ago (give or take).
Not trying to sway public opinion in any way here...
Scream <---- in lobby mode
ps. a drill AND poker chips makes a great gift idea. Since I've got 3 kids, why not add a cool action game (xbox or game cube) to that as well, hell I'm worth all that.

My opinion is based on use. I use mine all the time. If your husband will only use it ocassionally and as a screwdriber or drilling in wood, the one you picked will be fine.
I use one like this. (http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?CNTTYPE=PROD_META&CNTKEY=Products_2%2fPower+Tools%2fCordless+Drills+ %26+Screwdrivers%2f18V&BV_SessionID=@@@@0460594823.1087510658@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccceadclkhjelejcgelceffdfgidgnk.0&MID=9876)

ROTFLMAO!
I don't know how the BBQ got in there but it must be an omen.

If it's for ocassional use save some money. But get the one with the most powerful battery you can afford. Keyless chuck is a must and a clutch is nice.

Ok, so in english, a Drill around $75? The one he wants is $50, I could probably go as high as $100, I guess.

18 volt units have plenty of power, but get heavy. 14's are a good compromise. Milwaulkee makes very good stuff.

It's more than 75 bucks. My 18v Milwaukee isn't variable speed. Variable speed is a really nice feature when using it as a screwdriver, particularly when it has as much power as the 18v Milwaulkee. :D
Also, as Mandelon pointed out, the bigger drills are heavy. The 14.4 volt units are a good compromise.
Why not just get him the drill he wants, a BJ, and some powerful laxatives?

I have that drill. Milwaukee is the best. I went from a 9.6 to that bad boy. I took a little while to get used to it. I kept snapping off screw heads. Mmmmmm more power. Also a buddy had the 18v Dewalt (which be bragged about) until we built a deck together. Mine would run twice as long as his. He was pissed. LOL.
Mine is variable???
Once you get used to the weight it's nothin.
