Alternator Hook-up Hellp?

Hey Guys this is my first post so bare with me. I am running 2 optima batteries in parallel to number (1) on my perko to start my boat, and 2 more optimas in parallel to number (2) on the perko to run the stereo.
I also just installed a new 100 amp alternator. My question is this, can I run the charging wire straight to the starter terminal on the perko? Thanks for any help you can offer...Throwerb

Yes. Make sure it's a 4 gauge (and short as possible).

Throwerb, if your running a one wire alternator like I am you might want to check out this post on Banderlog (http://www.banderlog.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=715&highlight=) I had a issue with running my alternator directly into my batt isolator.
