I'm pulling my motor next week. It's good to know there is light at the end of my tunnel. The more the better! Post away!

No, it's a Humminbird depth finder. Just displays how deep the water is under your boat.
Monster, yes there's light way down there! lol It's a time consuming process isnt' it?
I Really would like to publicly say thanks to Duane & Brian at HTP for all their help in getting this put together. Some of you may not recognize Brian in the pics without his mullett. lol The boat is coming out looking great, and way better than If I had done it at home. They started with a bare hull last Monday, and these pics are where they are as of Friday!

Everything looks good. I cant beleive you guys are getting it all done that fast.
Any idea where you engine sits in relation to the transom? and what kind of power does that engine make?

Boat looks sweet.I had a ford 460 in my first boat.Their great motors once you build them.I noticed your front motor mount.Mine was like that and i kept breaking the timing chain cover. The bolts run through it and it kept breaking the cover.I finally had a plate made that went up and around the water pump cover. It worked well.here is a pic.http://www.boatheaders.com/images/Ford%20rail%20kit.jpg

Hey Ken, why TT headers instead of Ot's. It is looking damn good. Can't wait to see it all finished. Also is this Cheyenne a 19ft. If so, would really like to see the interior pics when its done to see how much room the back seaters have. And again, when are you going to spray the paint?

Looking really good Ken. Did you ever change over to the roller cam that Duane had spec'd out?

Thanks for all the compliments! It's getting really close now!
Dan, yes I put the complete roller setup in two winters ago while it was still in the Omega. Sure does liven up the ol Ferd!
Hot Rod, I just prefer them to OT's. It's really an 18.5 hull. Interior pics are about a month away I believe, but there's probably not going to be a lot of room back there. Maybe room for carpet munchers, hobbits, or somebody that wants to go for a ride REALLY bad. I'm not planning to paint it this year at least, and maybe not at all. It's so clean looking that I'm really vasilating on that idea.
565, that's good info, thanks! I've not had a problem yet, but I'll keep a close eye on it, may have to do that. Those timing covers are getting a little hard to find anymore too aren't they?
CS19- DTD says about 650, but I've not had it on a dyno. This boat should tell the HP a lot better than the "whale of an Omega". It was turning an A/b 5300 on a good day. I really don't know the distance from the transom as I've not seen the boat personally since all the rigging began. It's at Hi-Tech (just outside Wichita, Ks) being rigged, and I'm in S.W. Missouri.

It'll be interesting to see what it does with the new hull. She oughta fly pretty good.
I see you've picked up another ski tow? Sorry about that. It may be for the best anyway. If you ever wanted to run a tunnelram or blower, my old one wouldn't fit. It can only be used with a single carb intake.

Dan,
Not a problem-Brian who works for Duane "donated" that to the project, he said he's had it laying around the garage. Surprised me when I saw it on there too!

My buddy here 2 streets over has a blown 540 in a Cheyenne hull which he blew up on his first trip out when he switch from twin turbos to the blower but should have it back together soon . Room in the back  He put two seats in his ... if you could call them seats :D

Do you have a pic of it with the ext tips in?I was just wondering where they would end up.
