Here's what it looked like out there at 10:00 this morning:

Here's the fast pass for the morning:
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/99incognito151-med.jpg
It's hard to see in the pic, but the gps says a buck-fifty-one. The blower lost the top pulley(broken shaft) on the pass. It was powered by a 502 Ford. Who knows what boat it is?
There was definitely some bad-ass hardware out there!
I'll try and post some more pics later.

Nope, SD, it was a 1980 Sanger 5-Rib. Had a beautifully & properly done BBF 502 made up with an Ford Racing iron 4-bolt block and forged crankshaft. Blown alcohol. Tach recall showed 8100 rpm.
My De Marco will also have a 502 and I've been leaning towards injected alcohol (N/A), so it was good to speak with the owner of the boat.

Looks to me like the fast time at CFW this year was established with a FORD. :D

There were a few faster runs but that hydro looked good. To bad it broke so early in the game. I will have some pics up tonight and some video tomorrow.
Nap time!!:D

The wife and I met lots of nice people at CFW and had a great time. Lots of hardware there and couldn't cover it all. Learned some more about my boat and some more changes are in order. We are working on it today......and "I'll be back."

I talked with the owner of Incognito for a while and never did get his real name. He was proud as a peacock with his run. Like LO said, he mostly lurks. Here's a lousy pic of the boat:

I wish I would've met some more of you guys while I was out there. I did see K-Flat Mike down by his boat a few times, but never did make my way down there. I was only there for a few hours :( .
dmontzsta, Bob is the guy on the left. He's a helluva nice guy.
I'm a big fan of shovels and there were quite a few there, so here's a couple of pics I snapped:

Well.....I'll put it to you this way. If you would have yelled "Bob" we both would have come running (or ran the other way..:D )
058 is on the left.
I think we were discussing "Bolt ons" at the time. A pair went by and we.....

Nice photos Heatseeker...the Shovelnose hydros...the gold Sanger Ski Hydro is a 1969 owned by Guy Hoppe out of LA. It served as the family ski boat since the early 70's. The blue and white hydro is a 1977 Mr. Ed hull (very rare) and is owned by Guy's son, Joe. It was the first time they got the Mr. Ed boat running following a two year resto...BBC on alcohol. The flamed hydro is owned by some guy out of Napa. Father's Day weekend was the first time it was run at speed with the modified strut (recently had plates welded on the barrel)...worked well.

Incognito is Rob. His boat laid down a few bad ass passes last year at CFW. I met him over a few beers late at night at Alki Express's fifthwheel. We were talking Hydros and he was checking out the paint job on my hydro I had last year. His boat hauls a$$$$$!

Thanks Mfrey. I had heard the blue and white shovel's owner was named Joey. That's as far as I got on matching shovels to owners. Is that Mr. Ed hull the same one that was for sale on dragboats.com, from somewhere outta North Eastern California? Someday, I'm gonna get me one of them there shovels!
Almost every boat out there was badass!
Did anybody see this one:
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/99finboat1-med.jpg
I heard the owner say it was the first time it's ever been on the water. Cool old boat.

That has to be one of the coolest boat I've ever seen! I love it!! Fins forever!! Now if it had a 57 caddy pulling it that would be the total package!
