Chat room

Earlier someone had posted a complaint that some threads turn into a conversation between 2 or 3 people. They suggested that those folks find a chat room. That got me to thinking, it might be nice to have a chat room on Hot Boat for these type of conversations. That way it would still be with people we know. I don't know what complications are involved in this, but it's just a thought.

I enjoy talking to you, and I am a guilty party in this. Me and Dicudmore took up 3 pages of a thread talking shop. It was my thread so no great shakes about the hi-jack. But I know others don't appreciate it like we do ;)

Well you could setup an IRC room. Looks like on EFnet there is a channel named ***boat, but there is only one guy in it a "cPpimp". Still it is there.
I will see about the chat room thing. This has been brough up in the past and I think it was even tried once for a while. I am not sure that Hot Boat is ready to deal with the type of drama that a live chat type thing could cause.

I am not entirely sure that it will bring more drama, but it could be harder to moderate and things could really get out of control quickly. It is something we will continue to look into.

As has been discussed many times before it would kill alot of forum traffic imo. Not necessarily a good thing.
