Topock Sandbar Question

My question is regarding the sandbar in the Topock Gorge north of Lake Havasu. I know that they are shutting it down for Holiday weekends now because it gets crazy, but are they considering July 4th a holiday weekend? I believe its not a three day weekend, so are they gonna keep it open?
Also, if they are shutting it down that weekend, its just Sat/Sun correct?
Let me know if you know for sure, gotta plan my trip :)

Normally, the sandbar is closed memorial sat/sun, 4th of July sat/sun, and labor day sat/sun. When the 4th fell in the middle of the week, the sandbar was still closed. My guess, it will be closed!!!

There are other but smaller sandbars and sandy coves below the Blankenship Bend (Main) sandbar. Just keep your eyeballs peeled....
