IÂ’ve been going to Laughlin for the Fourth of July for several years now. Always enjoy the fireworks show and always wondered what it would be like to watch it on the river. Has anyone here watched it from the water? If so whatÂ’s the drill, get out early anchor and wait? Where to launch from etc.

Yeah the Laughlin fireworks show on the River is pretty cool. But personally, I like the one at the Avi better..I think they have a better show and you can get closer. We always order a couple pizzas from the pizza place there at the Avi, and then anchor right in the lagoon and watch the show. And afterwards you can light off your own fireworks..it's legal there.

I was wondering somewhat the same thing.....but where's the best place to watch them from on land? Thanks in advance. :)

The show is pretty good on the water...when I went a couple years ago they closed the river off past harrahs so we anchored right off the beach at harrahs..Great spot for the show but the problem I found was that too many lazy people don't anchor..they drive right up to the cut off line and drift back, then drive up again and drift back, except they don't turn off there engines when they drift...by the time the show was half over everyone on my boat had burning eyes from the exhaust and one of the kids threw up on the way back to the launch ramp...
Also, the river is damn dark at night....bring a good spot light for the ride back to the ramp!

I think the best place is right at the casinos...As soon as the show is over you can go back inside and get cooled off...
The year before we watched them on the water we went to the big parking lot across the river from the riverside, we had a great view but the temperature on top of that blacktop was still around 105degrees at 9pm...but it felt hotter...

Take the Riverside's "BOOZE" cruise, we did this last year. They park you right under the show, front row and have a good bar and snacks.

I know Rich....I gotta try to get the information about that.....the thing is we may have the kids.....so who knows! Otherwise, I'll make my own 'booze cruise' right on the river walk!! :D :p

Where did you launch from? Still considering options.
Supposed to be a full moon on the 4th, might be able to see well enough to navigate, but I'll still take a spot light.

Saw the Avi show one year, it is good. One web site said there were firework shows on the 1st and on the 4th, but it didn't say who or where.

We usually stay at the Belle and fight the crowds for a spot. Hadn't considered the lake before. Gives me somthing to think about. It will be easier to launch and load and a full moon will make navigating easier. Just might do it.

I'll be launching by the house on the fourth. Shouldn't be any crowds, except maybe at Lazy Harry's, and they'll just be drinking. First night cruise should be fun!

We usually stay in a house on the Bullhead side. there are a couple streets where we launch from and just park the trailer back at the house, no public parking nearby them...You're best bet is to launch from the county park in Bullhead on Hwy 95...it's just south of Harrah's....or launch from Davis Camp north of the bridge..

Would that be the ramp at Lazy Harry's?

WHAT????? If it's not a booze cruise, I don't want any part! :D I just don't want to pay $30 for each kid when they're not really going to appreciate the whole idea behind it. But we'll see......:D
