Mothers Day weekend is one of the only weekends in May thats an option, lots of races going on that month. The Avi has rooms, so do all the Motels in town. I was thinking circle beach would be a good meeting point, nice sandy beach and its halfway between the bridge area and the AVI.
If you have to do the mothers day thing, you can leave Sun morning and be home by noon or so.

Its a little bit down river from the end of Oatman. Ive launched my boat right off the beach (Indian res.) there many times. There is a hard packed launch ramp on one of the beaches that is right at circle beach.Ive seen it done with 2 wheel dr. but I personally wouldnt try it without 4 wheel. Launching at the Avi,Rainbow,Jack Smith,Needles marina or any of the others is fine too, lots of options.

Hwy 95/Bullhead take Boundary Cone Road towards river. You will run right into the beaches.

People will probably arrive Friday night, a few may arrive a day or so earlier.I'd reccomend staying at the AVI hotel/casino, you can launch from there and its the most hassle free place to stay/launch/park,etc..Sometimes people will put a caravan togethor, but its too early to say if that going to happen or not, probably not.As far as a boat count, its probably not going to be a huge number being its so early in the season and alot of people are not ready yet.Later in the season there will be a much higher boat count.

yeah, same hotel as the cbbb.
the cruise down river from the avi is only about 10 min. No major rock bars, i hear the water levels are up, so no worries there.

Chris, I have not been on the river, but cruising over the bridge at the Avi you can see that the rock bar just south of it has grown. Say on the AZ side, 2/3rds of the river right there is a rock bar. The river has been waaay up. The ramp to the dock at the Avi is flat, no decline what so ever.

Well I finally took the boat out for the first time of the year at Lake Elsinore Sunday to try out the mod that MPD did it ran good but had problems with the boat porpising I couldn't control it. I got it up to 80mph on the gps and had more throttle to go I couldnt keep my foot in it I called Jack at MPD and he told me to try and put another shim in the ride plate but I was hoping that on mothers day weekend who ever is going to the powertour can spectate from the beach to tell me how the boat is riding in the water and maybe give me some pointers on the set up I have to make it hook up better.

Bear Can Bob's boat is one of the last lightweight hull that CP made, 380lbs I think. SKS you won't have any trouble spanking him. But it is a nice piece and does run very respectable. But I'd like to watch you SKS, spank him and send him back to Bill to spend some more money! Budlight Ps. BCB is an allright guy.

I hear test and tune starts at sofa kings place on Friday morning and runs all day till happy hour at 6pm..

Yes I took it out once so far at lake Elsinor the over hull I had done feels totally different when I ran it I can tell a big difference in speed, hole shot and just in general how it handles but as I test ran it I need to do some minor adjusting to the ride plate because It felt like I had no control I couldn't keep my foot in the throttle but overall so far I notice a major difference and the best of all is Im running the same engine as before It totally livend up the engine
