Bought the Rogers 21'!

Just bought a 21' Rogers and the thing runs (71 mps on gps) great! Have a question for the experts. It has a set back pump, place diverter, and ride plate and with the nozzle all the way up doesn't shoot much of a rooster at all. My other boat is a '74 Raysoncraft 21' and shoots a huge rooster. Is this due to the weight of the boats (Rayson heavier and deeper "v") or that the Rayson pump is not set back or third that the Rayson only does 55 mph.
