Alright, got a question for all you experts out there........
I recently picked up a 1977 Hallet 19' deep "V" with a 454 and a v-drive. It has non adjustable plates and I would like to convert to adjustable plates. The boat has a full interior and since this is my 1st "family" boat I don't really want to yank the whole floor out to do it. Any ideas? Life was easier when I had a flatbottom............
Also when does this type of hull really start needing an adjustable plate? It currently runs about 72 mph on a radar gun, but I would like to add some power and step it up a little. Maybe into the low to mid 80's.
Thanks.......

I can help post a pic, you can use a actuator to controll the plates.

Thanks for the offer on the pic, my daughters b-day is coming up, I think I am going to get her a digital camera........
By actuator I assume you mean a Hydra type system? How fast do they react to input. I think you can mount the buttons on the steering wheel.

Mine's electric it moves pretty fast but I wouldn't use it for a race boat. I have mine on the wheel.
