Anchor Bouy

What do you all use for your anchor bouy's? I have been all over my crappy little town and have come up empty, I'm off for the river so I would like something hat I can use temporarily until I can order on line otr hit West Marine. any help would be great...

I bought the smallest cheapest fender at a marina and marked it with my name. Works fine.

You can use almost anything that'll float well enough. Some people use an empty plastic bottle, like a bleach bottle. Considered by some to be a little on the ghetto side. If you go that route, make sure the bottle has a screw top, or, you'll be screwed. Lots of anchor bouys out there for sale. Just check any of teh marine suplly websites or stores.

went to sav-on and got a Duck that holds your chorine tabs, but if you modify his ass you can put a rope thru it...someday i'll have pix

Go to Big Five sporting goods or Walmart, and buy yourself a tetherball. They have a built in anchor point, come in either white or yellow, and are cheap and last forever. They work great!!

BTW, I had the tetherball for about 4 years, finally broke the mounting lug off, I think someone ran over it.....
Currently using an old fender.....(I feel so ghetto)

Thanks to you all for your replies and ideas, we were way ghetto this weekend, wifey found an empty Febreeze bottle in the Laundry room, it was blue and worked but it will have to go into the recycle bin before our next trip...
