Not to sure how many of you are into forced induction cars but I have started a new project and figured some of you might find it fun.
With the recent hike in gas prices I figured it was time to look for something more practical on gas for my day to day driving but still be something fun. While searching through Ebay I stumbled across a 1990 Plymouth Laser and won the auction with a final bid of $1898.00. You are probably thinking what the hell is doing on this forum so I'll show you...

That a 2.0 litre 4 banger factory turbocharged engine rated at 195hp from the factory at 11psi.
Some of you are probably thinking what the hell are you going to do with that. Sure it's turbo but that doesn't change the fact that it's a 4 banger. Well, a friend of mine with the same engine put down 515whp on the dyno saturday running a stock head with the exception of cams and no nitrous. His car is pushing 515hp from 4K RPM all the way to redline. When we do his head and fire the 75 shot hes got installed we are hoping for about 625whp. Also keep in mind that this is at 5800' elevation :)
My plans aren't quite as crazy as his build but who knows when is enough enough? NEVER!!
Here's the car I bought.

Current plans:
Over the course of the next week I have several uPS deliveries showing up.
I'll be installing the following
Manual Boost Controller
3" GM MAF Blow through set up (The stock MAS is a POS the car will get fuel cut from simply turning the boost up to 16psi and I dont know if you've ever felt fuel cut but it is a VERY violent reaction and an unpleasant one)
GM MAF translator
2.5" Upper intercooler pipe
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
255 lph fuel pump
K&N airfilter
3" turbo back exhaust w/ highflow cat (The cat will only be installed when doing emissions)
AutoMeter Phantom 30-0-30 boost gauge
AutoMeter Phantom 400-1600 EGT gauge
We are hoping with those mods and some good driving I'll be able to rip off some 13 second runs at the local drag strip.
I'll be taking pictures of everything once it arrives and gets installed and posting back here. I'll also be posting the results I get from the dyno pulls I'll be making once everything is on the car. We are hoping to get about 300 whp out of the stock turbo and intercooler. Once both are maxed out I'll be switching to a Forced Performance 3065 Ball bearing Garrett Hybrid turbo and a 24"x12" FMIC.
The ultimate goal for this car is to be able to pull 11 second 1/4's and maintain daily driveability.
It's gonna be fun!

As tempting as cutting down every inch of my car to a partial frame and motor may be I'll stick to a full interior full weight car and just add horsepower.
