I heard that the blue water was doing fireworks on july 5. i would like to know if it is ok to hang out on the sandbar during the show or is that part of the river closed at that time.

Seeing how July 5th is monday, I don't think the fireworks will be going off then.
More like Saturday night, the 3rd, after the fake Ozzy concert.
And there's no problem hanging out at the SAndbar for the show. No River closing.

I watched the concert and fireworks last year, let me tell you the guys doing the fireworks almost lit the casino on fire! They are crazy!!!!!

I actually have on video a ground firework exposion at the blue water casiono July 4th 1999. It was crazy, people running for their lives and I caught the whole thing on tape. It was pretty amazing!
