(CNN) -- Marlon Brando, the stage and screen actor whose performances in "A Streetcar Named Desire," "On the Waterfront" and "The Godfather" earned him plaudits as one of the greatest actors of all time, has died, his attorney said. He was 80.

To be honest I am surprised he has made it this long. He was living pretty large in his final days. Great actor, I watch at least one of the Godfather movies at least once a month.

He had some very significant roles while a great many movies he did just for the money.
A sometimes great actor who often acted strangely in real life. He's leaving behind at least 11 children - the youngest is 2! Three of them with a housekeeper. :rolleyes:
Movies I'll remember him for:
* Apocalypse Now
* Last Tango in Paris (like butter)
* Godfather (of course)
* Streetcar Named Desire
