can I take the JG out of one boat and put it in place of a JC in another.
Also, thoughts on 1976 Spectra 20s.
Thanks in advance.

not only that, you can even turn your JC into a JG
as HBJet did.

Yes, Absolutely, the only difference is the bowl. I have a JC but you would rather have a JG so you can add all the wanderfull toys. the cost of that new without the toys is from what I heard is $800 I am just waiting for a good deal to come along.

Just to clarify,
Can I bolt the JG pump into the suction piece (the part that is molded into the bottom of the boat) of the JC pump??
Thank you.

The part that is in the bottom of the boat is the INTAKE. The piece that bolts on top of that is the SUCTION piece (it has the shaft, bearing, impeller...) Then the BOWL bolts to the SUCTION piece. The suction piece for a JC, JG new or old will all bolt up to the intake. There is no difference.

thank you HBjet, I got it now.
Next question is opinions on installing an inducer for a Spectra 20. The JG pump is still on good shape, what should I expect with the inducer?
Thank you all!
