Hey, ya gotta start somewhere. Just unscrew those plugs and fill the bowl with 90 weight till it flows clean out the other hole. Good to go... Should keep an eye on that every other run or so..

2 cylinders only gave me 30 psi. I found the rings went bad from sitting. The boats in really good shape probably from sitting so long. Ive always wanted one of these badboys. Should run good when I'm done. Going with all marine MSD 30 over on the mill new cam and head work hope she flies when I'm done.

I've always used 90-wt, but I see some guys putting grease zerks on and pumping grease into this space. Any experience with this?

31 is where you grease your thrust bearing - religiously. 44 is where you oil the bowl bearings w/ 90wt.

Isnt an agressor pump water lubed too? If there aint no plugs, then its water lubed.

Check me: if the resevoir is not full of oil (or water diluted oil) everytime I go to fill it, then I need to replace PN#25 "bowl seal"?

MarKist
04-18-2006, 08:02 AM
no..the seal is in backwards so when the pressure builds in the bowl (and its a mother to get the bowl back on with it the other way) the oil will lube the seal and the shaft and some water might get in ,I know you have seen a hard seal eat a groove in a crank shaft before...but no big deal just take both plugs out of the bowl and refill till it comes out the other side.....oh yeah wecome to the jungle!!this might help you better understand..
