Sorry I missed this yesterday. Motor is terminal lost a intake valve on #7 and it took out the piston and probably the head.

We're probably down for the count this Summer:frown: Maybe make a boatless trip to Parker to meet up with The Knuckleheads and a few other peeps the weekend after CBBB.

Don't be so quick to blame the valve. If it was a bad valve job, and the face wasn't seated all the way around, the valve had no chance to dissipate heat into the head and was going to fail, regardless.

Shoot that`s not bad at all. From the picture of the head look`s like 2 new valves and some seat work and a new guide will put that thing back in good shape. Now all you have to do is find a piston and off to the lake you go for about $400. total.

I`d take my head to another shop then. They might be able to tell you what`s up??????

when/if they did the heads did they happen to replace or machine the guides? the problem may lie in there;) try another machine shop and have them check the guides. something is definitely not right with it dropping the same valve twice. I would point the finger at the machinist:mad:

Actually I've dropped #8 last time and #7 this time. And also I could see interference problems on #5. Time to measure it out again, I may have got the cam in wrong some how

I'm sorry to see the carnage, thats uglier than me. there has to be something that is getting missed, but you'll find it yet, no doubt.
