OK I just got back from havasu today, yesterday just got out of the no wake zone pass Nautical about 100 yds and the motor let go. I have a hallett 270 with a stock HP500 (carburetor) 470 HP. Now wondering who to go to Paul Phaff, Gary Teauge something with a little more HP maybe 600 to 700+ HP but still reliable. Any suggestions or good or bad experience. And no the budget is not unlimited!!!

Now remember this is fully turn key.Pull it out and drop it in another boat.
I was told by GT,Teague, pfaff and a couple more that 12K is a good starting point.160hours and not one problem.CMI's and all.Im open for offers, and you can drive it or hear it run in the boat.

Not a bad deal.
Now you're gonna need a Top Kick to carry the spare bullet. Better stock up on a few drives, too.
Need a pit crew/boat bitch?
:D

It's only scary if you get a bad deal.
Since it's from a dealer...I'd breathe a little easier. Those Stohler motors have some gooood parts.

I hear ya...the guy sells his boat, and disappears.
Maybe he'll paint the Sea Doo boat pink and teal just for a stroll down memory lane...

They use a Crane valve train. Check to see if it just a lifter/pushrod issue.
