By far the best looking colors you can combine. The crap that people put out in the late 80's and earlly 90's still gives me nightmares.

ok, can anyone tell me what the colors of the 60's was? I think the dude that redid my boat was loving the 80's when he did it. I just want it to be what it is. :)
I was seriously thinking of an all white gel and all white seats...but it needs some color. :)

Dr. Eagle

As I recall he 60s and 70s had a LOT of BIG metalflake designs. All solid color or perhaps accents arount the gunnels.
Some in the 70s were god awaful brown and burnt umber color schemes...

Teal with pink and gray stripes. It was one of the first generations
with that paint scheme.
I actually I didn't want that color combo, but to get what I wanted
I would have had to wait to have the boat custom built.
I didn't want to wait. Had to have that ski boat. NOW.:D

Looks great- glad to see you bought a Malibu. Can't go wrong with that--we're at 850ish + hours and still going strong.
Hardcore-Ski- love the Malibu. How many hours you got on that thing?
Here's ours...teal and gray. Nothing wrong with this classic 90's combo :D

Damn. I have less than 300 hrs. That's mostly because where I
do most of my boating/skiing is 25 minutes from the beach where
I anchor. So I don't do alot of driving. I hit the beach, party and
ski.
You can only ski so much. Which isn't much unless your HARDCORE:rolleyes:
My Malibu is a 1995. It's the first year of the new hull design.
I snag it up in Feb 1995. Fresh off the show room.
It's been solid as a rock ever since.

Thats sweet--ours is a 1995 also, and we picked it up in Jan of 96, once the newly designed logo was introduced. We couldn't pass it up- we got a steal. I love it, and any other ski boat I ever buy will be a Malibu. Its a great boat, and still my favorite to ride behind and ski.

Everytime I ski behind my boat I can't believe how nice it is.
I paid 18,900 for mine brand new.
Go try and buy one today and see how much they are.
They haven't change that much either. Except the power plant.
I figure I don't need 400hp to go 50mph.
I'll just hold on to mine.:)

Yep...I know what you are saying. I think we paid right at 20K for ours, listed at 28ish. Equivalent boat today- Malibu Response LXI- high 30s, low 40s :eek!: We'll (I mean my dad) will keep this, and I'll buy myself a Howard :D Best of both worlds!
