I need to buy a hull for a motor I have. I am looking at an HTM or a Force hull. HTM is fast but I don't like the look. Anyone have any info on the Force. I was looking at the 29' cat. Not open bow. Price, style, design?????

Thanks Dicudmore, yes nice boats. I just talked to Danno over at Force. Told me he would sell me a semi rigged hull with trailer and a closed bow. He said 26' would run me $62,000 and 29' $73,000. I think that is a good price don't you guys?

Force makes great hulls. I still think they are under the market in terms of price for comparable hulls. Do it!:D

And is this there new canopied deck or the original non canopied deck. Either way it does not seem like a bad price with the way boat prices have skyrocket over the year.
I did the same thing with a 29 Force last year. Less motor and drive. Installed a 540 and B-Max drive. Had them do quite a few upgrades as well.

Did you sell the boat when you were finshed? What is the turn around market of those boats like? See I have a 540 whipple charged big block that I need to sell with a bravo xr. Everything is built to the max. I have so much into it, that I could never get my money out. So I think the only way is to buy another boat and put it in there to sell. My only concern is that once I do this, I won't want to sell the boat, which is fine for me but not for the old lady. She laid down some new rules last friday, I can't get any more toys unless I get rid of some. Basically saying I have to sell one if I want another. So I need to find a place to hide it! LOL!:D

IMHO $73K seems a little high without motor. Check Carrera on there 29' ask for Dennis and see what he can do for you.

If you are just looking to get rid of the motor and drive by placing it into a boat, I would say that your best bet on not losing you butt is to buy a slightly used boat less motor and drive as there is quite a few out there all the time at very good prices. Why go through the trouble of having a boat built just to sell it and hope to break out even. Just my .02 ...

Well I'm really not having a new boat built. Force has one sitting there that just came out of the mold last week. Spending an extra 70K just so I could loose 10k is better than not spending 70k and loosing 25K. Because what I can get for my motor is only going to make me loose 25k. Not including what I am going to loose on the outdrive. I have been looking for a hull minus motor and drive and can't find one. I am looking for a 26-28' cat. year 2000 or newer. Any help on that?

I love the Force Offshores, but I too think that price is high. Dano is awesome, and a top notch guy to talk to and knows his stuff, IMO- runs Force, might as well just own it :D
Here comes my plug--you can buy a new Howard 26 cat hull, tank and interior (with the holes cut for the hardware and drive) for 30K. Add a 5 or 6K triple axle trailer, and the hardware, slap in your motor and you are in business. PM me with any questions! I work for no commission :D
I know Force prices are better than the competition, but I recall a 29 being around 80K with a 496HO earlier this year (which I am sure may have gone up due to their high quality and high demand).
Good luck.

I might have some at my shop I will check tomorrow. I think the pics are before the canopies were installed though. It looks really good now that it is completed.

He quoted me this morning 73 for the 29 minus the 496 motor package. And that was with interior and trailer as I stated before.

Here is a couple pics of the 29 Force with canopies I took at the LA Boat show- I think this one got the Teague 540 Whipple EFI (900hp) and went back east.

Is this for the canopy version? If so, thats probably not bad at all. Otherwise, you need a Howard :D

Definately write Racer52 before this, he's is beautiful, but not sure what he did to get his. I do know he did a lot of work himself. If you are speaking new...I'd say stand away just based on a few other experiences around here.
