Alright, I asked the ?? about the carb spacer. Now, one more thing, I currently am running an open carb with NO flame arrester. Yeah, I know, I know. How much better woulkd a scoop be for my application.
Thanks, Dan

i like my velocity stack with K&N filter. personal preference I guess. But an olds doesn't go fast enough to use a scoop anyways:wink: right:D you may see an improvement, but more cool factor than a big HP improvement in 50 - 70 mph range

Scoop for sure. You just look like you forgot something or are working on the carb the way you are running. Throw a spark arrestor for the law and because it is the easiest way to mount the scoop.

Put something over that carb. All your doing without running some sort of stack or scoop is pulling fuel out of the carb with all the wind traveling over it. You might see a bigger improvement then you expect with using a flame arrestor (not gutted) V stack or scoop.
