I think so. I have two tickets on my record so they boosted my quote by $200.....:( The quotefrom Progressive on my Lavey with the 496 Mag HO was in the $700's. Safeco wouldn't write it due to the horsepower......

I pay 350 a year for a 93 21 ft with a small block

Check vessel assist. You can get insurance through them and also towing services. $850 seems a bit high to me, but then again you have a 29' and I have a 21'. There number is 800-367-8222.
Good Luck in the new boat!

try ski safe or wesmar they are 2 of the best in the ind. Look wesmar will insure your boat for every penny that you paid for it, for the first 3 years of owner ship. They dont deprecehate sp? the value of your boat. also there detuctable is only 250 bucks!!

That's probably about right. My 29 Shockwave with an HP500EFI was just under $1k per year for insurance with $1million in liability coverage.
Got any updated pics of the boat??

We use Jetton Insurance as a broker and they signed us up with Progressive, I think ours is about $1000 a year. I remember thinking it was as much as our 17yr olds car insurance:D

I pay 360.00 a year through West Marine.. The policy is small and my boat isn't worth as much as you guys with high dollar boats.

It depends on the water. It's not easy to loosen up a 9,500 lb boat (not counting 1,000 lbs. of gas).
Why...are you an insurance underwriter? ;)

No, I just wanted to know if the money I was going to spend on the whipples and super chiller was worth the money,

If the economics of superchargers consern you, you best not supercharge. ;) More gas, more insurance, less reliability, large initial investment, harder on the drives......people doen't supercharge because it's "worth the money". ;) :D :D

Our boat does 65 with 5 gallons of gas, no drinks, no chairs, no ice, and one person in it. I wonder if it will go faster with our new prop and streamlined skeg. Will that affect our steering? (the skeg seems a little shorter to me, but Matt says that is a good thing;)

I almost bought a boat like yours but when i went on a demo ride in one he didnt let me drive the boat and he said you could not just drop the shop to see your boat while it is being built, you had to call ahead and make an appointment. I thought if I'm paying 200 plus for my boat, i had better be able to see it when i dam please
