I have a 1994 eliminator 280 eagle, non stepped I just put in a HP 500 with aluminum heads, I put it in the water last Sunday it was great! I put a quicksilver 25pitch prop I was real easy on the boat so I donÂ’t have any real numbers anyone on the boards have this same combo? any suggestions would be a great help thanks.

Try a 25 Mirage plus and a 24 Bravo 1. the Mirage is better than that quicksilver and the bravo but you might like the overall felling of the bravo. Greg

I have a 500hp in a 27 foot non step vee and I run a bravo one 26 pitch and it has worked the best so far, I used to run a 25 pitch hydromotive clever and it was great to until i put the 2 inch shorter drive on then it slipped to much since it was a clever style. the bravo 1 was my back up until the switch now it works better than the hydro with the standard drive. The hydro was just labbed (trought it would help the short drive) and is in great shape, and is for sale (200 bucks if anyone interested)since I just got a whipple and need a 30 pitch wheel now. When I first put this engine in the boat The shop took 4 various 3 blades and 2 4blades out for the test and the 4 blades did far better in my application. Hope this helps.

I have had 3 Eagles...the 4 blade Bravo1 is gonna be your best bet.Your boat has no steps but it is a pad bottom.
I wouldn't waste my money on a Hydromotive, they don't seem to work very well on Eagle's.
Depending on where your X dimension is at,I think a 24 or 26p should work, the 3 blade might have a bit more top end,but the Bravo1 four blade will carry weight better, and the boat will feel a lot more stable at speed.
That bottom takes a lot of positive trim and rides fairly loose.
good luck and keep us posted...
