I got a 3.0L 4 cylinder Mercruiser
besides junking it, what can be done to improve power? It's rated 135 hp how can I get it up to 200 ish?
I don't have the room to throw in a 6cyl w/o lot's of enigne compartment work. It's in a 19' cuddy by Maxum. 1998 1900SCR
just looking for addtl. resources, not much to be found on these engines for upgrades.
No worky. You need a new boat if you want to go faster.
Not really anything for the 3.0 as far as performance parts go. You could spend a ton of money and time on your hull and motor and wouldn't really see much improvement. It's a great run-a-bout,and a good little motor, but it's just not made for speed. You would be miles ahead to sell and purchase a performance type boat.
