The problem with the regatta is that it is set up for the new big boats. It's on Mead in Henderson. We went one year and got the crap beat out of us. The poker run runs all over the lake. The all you can eat food and open bar are great, though. Maybe if there were a bunch of old skool boats, it would be better.

I think we might need a mini regatta somewere...lol
only 20 footers and no later than hmm 85 or so? when did they change the style?
Hallett changed the style back in '88 & '89 when the introduced the 210, which is still in production today.
1986 was the last year they offered the 23' Day Cruiser, which has the same lines as the 20SS.

Hmmm yea.. then we can forget the poker run and just eat and drink..lol..
otherwise.. if the poker run is really early it won't be bad.. other than the cost of the gas..lol... if it slips much past noon.. the lake will be choppy... assuming a windless day. When I was a kid we had nothing less than a 23 on that lake. BUT I am older and wiser than my dad..lol... so now I have a 21... okay NOT... but I could see the beauty through the ugly so I decided to go shorter anyway...

1972 to 1976 Hallett had the 21' Day Cruiser - the model that BeerJet & 72Hallett own.
1976 20ss Premieres (mid '76) - boat doesn't go into production untill '77.
1981 20ss is now also avaible as an Open Bow Rider.
1987 21' Vector is Introdced - Still in production.
1988 20ss Final year - 210 Premiered.
1989 210 replaces 20ss - Still in production.
So a mini regatta with only Hallett 20ss from 1977 to 1988 - sounds fun.

HallettDave has one also. Rootbeer brown metalflake with the original technicolor shag carpet in it. His is a 19' though, I believe.

I meant 87 and older..lol.. but 88 and older according to last post? 23' and smaller would be cool....

An oldschool Hallett regatta sounds good. If it's 23' and smaller I could bring my 20'er and my dad could bring his 64' 18'er with a 427 Holman Moody sideoiler.
